Welcome
to the Pine Class web page.
Pine
Class is made up of Year 6 and their teacher, me,
Miss Jennifer Kelland. In our class we like to work
hard and have fun. We enjoy our responsibilities as
Year Sixes and we always do our best to set a good
example to the rest of the school.
This
term we are learning about Ancient Egypt. We're looking
forward to finding out about how the Egyptians lived,
as well as the more gory parts, including what happened
to the Egyptians after they died!
In
our class we have Mrs Ryall and Mrs Morris to help
us with our work. We are always encouraged to do our
best and to develop our independence, but we know
that help is always on hand if we ever get stuck.
Our
homework consists of a piece of English and Mathematics
each week as well as tables, spellings and reading.
As well as this we have a termly project to complete.
This term our project is to create an artefact that
represents Ancient Egypt. Some of us will be making
a sarcophacus, some will choose to make a pyramid
or maybe the sphinx, some of us will try to find less
well known artefacts to re-create. All of our work
will be on display in school when it is finished,
which means that other children, parents and visitors
will get to see it.
If
you would like to know more about our class, please
e-mail, or why not just pop in and see us - Feel free
to make an appointment with Mrs Gates or Mrs Bailey
in the school office.
