Autumn- Science

In Science, Year 2 children explored the world around them through hands-on investigation and observation. They discovered and identified different materials around the school and learned about the properties of everyday materials by bending, squashing, stretching and twisting them.

Children carried out experiments inspired by the story of The Three Little Pigs, testing which materials were strong enough to build houses. They also enjoyed nature walks, observing plants and wildlife, and took part in growing tulips, watching them develop over time. These experiences helped children develop their curiosity, observation skills, and understanding of how things change in the natural world.
