Religious Education- Autumn

In Religious Education, we have been learning about stories from the Bible and what they teach Christians. We have learned about the Christmas story and why it is important to Christians.

We have also been learning about other Bible stories, including The Paralysed Man and The Wedding Feast, and talking about the messages in these stories, such as kindness, forgiveness, helping others and sharing. We have discussed how we can show these values in our everyday lives.

Year 2 visited a cathedral as part of their Religious Education learning. During the visit, the children explored the different parts of the cathedral and learned about their purpose and importance. They also took part in a Nativity activity, which helped to deepen their understanding of the Christmas story.

The children also participated in a workshop about Diwali, where they learned how the festival is celebrated and why it is important to Hindus. This supported their understanding of different religions, beliefs and celebrations.
