  • History Trip to Wells

The children visited Wells Cathedral and Museum to see their own Remembrance artwork and acrostic poems proudly displayed. While at the Cathedral, they explored a range of important features, including the Remembrance Book, the Cathedral clock, and a Black History display, helping them to learn about local and national history.

Children also visited the Bishop’s Palace, where they had the unique experience of hearing the swans ring the bells, which brought the visit to life.

At the Museum, children engaged with a variety of artefacts from the local area and experienced a recreated World War One trench, which helped them understand history in a hands-on way. They also learned about local industries such as caving, making the visit a memorable and enriching experience.
