This term in Mulberry Class, children have explored a range of creative skills and materials in Art. They developed their understanding of colour mixing through painting activities, learning how to create new colours and apply them carefully. They also explored printing using natural materials, experimenting with texture and pattern.
The children worked with clay to create a special Mother’s Day gift, developing their shaping and modelling skills. They practised observational drawing through daffodil sketches and used oil pastels to add colour and detail. In addition, they created an Arctic collage, designing a home for a polar bear using a variety of materials and techniques.
The class also benefited from a visit from an artist, which enriched their learning and inspired their creativity. Overall, the children have shown enthusiasm and growing confidence in exploring different artistic techniques and media.
