Our themes for this term are:- 

Winter, Arctic Animals, Jungle/Zoo Animals, The Farm and Farm Animals, and Our Pets,

We will be focusing on listening skills, sound recognition, letter sounds and letter recognition. We will look at rhyme and rhythm using musical instruments, stories, poems, and our own voices.

We will be using these skills to start to understand the importance of listening to others, and expressing our own feelings and emotions.

We will be looking at mark making and malleable skills to help improve pen control. The younger children will be using different media and malleable materials to help develop their manipulation skills and core strength, and the older children will be encouraged to use different media to start to produce recognisable pictures and models.

In maths the younger children will be looking at 2D shapes and matching shapes in puzzles and games. The older children will be learning the importance of numbers and how they are used, and starting to make simple patterns.
