Our Interhouse Hockey competition was an exciting and action-packed event that brought the whole school together! Each house showed fantastic determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship as they competed with energy and enthusiasm. From powerful passes and skilful dribbling to brave defending and brilliant goals, every match was full of memorable moments. It was wonderful to see everyone supporting their teammates, encouraging one another, and demonstrating resilience throughout the games. Whether winning or losing, every player represented their house with pride and respect.

We were incredibly lucky to welcome Chance to Shine into our school for six fantastic weeks of cricket coaching! 🏏 During this exciting experience, we developed our skills in bowling, batting, and fielding, while also learning the importance of teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. Each session helped us grow in confidence and encouraged us to challenge ourselves in new ways. To make it even more special, a local cricket club came to visit us, giving us the chance to learn more about playing cricket in our community. We were also thrilled to meet Stumpy the Dragon, who brought lots of energy and fun to the day!

This week, we had lots of fun learning tennis skills! We started by learning the chopper grip to hold the racket correctly. Then we practised bouncing the ball up and down on our rackets to build control. Finally, we worked with a partner to gently rally the ball back and forth, focusing on accuracy and teamwork.

We were very lucky to have a special visitor join us in Cherry Class! Ben came in to deliver a fun and engaging cricket session, where we focused on fielding drills and the basics of throwing and catching.
We learnt how important it is to keep our eyes on the ball and how to work as a team by passing the ball to our teammates. Everyone showed great enthusiasm and effort throughout the session.
We finished with a competitive game of fielding, and it was wonderful to see such fantastic teamwork and sportsmanship. Well done, Cherry Class!
